The message is sent out by way of couriers, information networks, and other secure means of communication to the kindred and to much of the city's mortal high society in the week following the fall of the Sanctum. For the mortals hearing about the gala, it is being billed as the social event of the month, and rather difficult to get invited into. It's said to be a charity fundraiser, with local and state politicians, special honors being paid to the firefighters who rushed in to protect the city in the wake of last week's explosion, and many local lords and ladies of industry and commerce. To the kindred catching word on the grapevine, the event is Elysium, and while attendance is in no way mandatory, it would be so gauche not to show up. It's said that all of the primogen will be on hand, and given the nature of such past events, boons and status are sure to be flying freely that night! The event is scheduled for October 21st, Sunday evening, and the doors will open promptly at 9pm (That's 9pm New York, 6pm Los Angeles, 2am London) and will continue right up until dawn. |
