Seriously, I wouldn't want to live in a world that prevents me from gaming on a White Wolf chat if I feel the need. Even if now, it's an unofficial one.

I know I haven't played in ages to begin with. But the idea alone that I have no chance to do so ever again makes me wanna cry.

Thanks! I'm doing this partially because I'm a big geek like that and love creating this sort of thing. But the main reason is for people just like you, who want somewhere to go and play when they want and how they want, without having to jump through hoops to do so.

After the closing of the chat yesterday, a lot of people online here reminisced about old times, and it made me realize that it's more than just a roleplaying chat. It's a place where people can come, form connections, find support, and even sometimes find love. A lot of gamers aren't in the best financial situation, and don't have the means to go out -- and face it, a lot of us are more comfortable socializing online than IRL.

The unmods (and the moderated chats) were a community, more than anything else. Even when I wasn't in the mood to roleplay (or didn't have the time), I could still come into the entryway and shoot the shit with the people there.

So not to go all Kumbaya, but I want to think all of you for participating in this new community. Nothing will ever replace the official unmods, but I think we already have a great group of people here, and we're off to a great start.

Well I just found this place and I think its very exciting. I've been playing online for more than a decade and a long time ago there used to be a ton of places to play. Not so much, anymore. I'm glad to have found a place where there are a lot of new people (new to me) to meet and play with.
