"The rich man who gives, steals twice over. First he steals the money and then the hearts of men." Edvard Munch
Why? The why of the crime is always the hardest to solve. Why does a rich man who has it all risk everything to steal? Answer that and you might just catch him...
What is known
A spate of high end and daring burglaries have been committed up and down the length of the East and West Coasts. Starting with house breaking into the abodes of the wealthy, priveliged and elite then escalating to ever more daring heists. A jewellery store in broad daylight, then the San Francisco Art Museum. The only hallmarks of the criminal are a bold and yet meticulously executed plan and a objet d'art from the prior caper is left in place of the recently purloined piece. Criminologists believe that this is a way for the criminal to taunt the authorities whilst showing his dsiregard for what is stolen.
