Hannah is a classically attractive woman who appears to be in her mid-20s or so, her height average at 5'6", with shiny, wavy red hair and kindly green eyes. She puts great care into her appearance, every outfit carefully chosen, makeup carefully applied each day, to look her very best, and to put her best foot forward.

Hannah went to a college on the other side of the country, one of the smaller ones that most people haven't really heard of. She'll happily tell you the name, it's just that most people forget it, and it's not really important anyway; what's important is that she's here to teach, and she's got a passion for her job! She loves being around little ones, whose eyes are sensitive to the wonder and joy in their world. It seems that most adults have forgotten how to bask in these things, but to children, that's all they care about, and Ms. Appletree is here to foster those imaginations, and help them grow to be more thoughtful adults than their parents.

Of course, she's good with adults, too; that's all part of the job. Conferences are her chance to convince parents that their children aren't just miniature versions of themselves. They are fully functioning individuals, and each and every one of them is special. Often times, she's able to get these parents to open their own eyes to the joys of the world, and more than once she's seen the relationship between a child and their parent(s) blossom like never before because of her interactions with them. These are the moments she lives for.

Literally.

Fostering the imaginations of those under her care, and their parents, is Hannah's driving goal in life. She won't admit that, of course, at least not as her exclusive goal; of course, as a teacher, she is here to expand their minds and give them knowledge. But really, she couldn't possibly care less about teaching them important dates or mathematical formulae. Rote memorization is boring, and worse, banal! Has this belief caused some problems at work? Sure. But she always seems to be able to smooth over any issues that surface. She's just so good with the kids!

Of course, it helps that Hannah Louise Appletree isn't a human at all, but is, in fact, the most recent human Husk of an Inanimae of the Empire of Dolls. She woke from her most recent Slumber in the early 90s, and has been learning to navigate the human world ever since. As a Mannikin, this has come much easier to her than to the other Phyla, something they love to mention at every opportunity. She has accepted her place in the world, however, and rather than focusing on the differences between the Phyla, she's dedicated herself to bringing together the Krofted and the Gladelings. As a Krofted herself, Hannah barely remembers what it was like to be a Gladeling, and her deepest secret is that she likes being Krofted. She sees no reason for there to be a schism between the two Inanimae Courts.

So she lives every day to the fullest, bringing joy and Glamour to the lives of the children she teaches, understanding and kindness to Inanimae, and, hopefully, a bit of brightness to a world filled with darkness.
